Parting Love

By Pramoth Adhivarahan

From the window of the train

In the pour of the black rain

She told me she wouldn’t see me ever again

The heavens cried alongside

I just stood there

Looking into her big brown eyes

One moment she was there

And next second she was gone

Going to the world where she belongs

I just hope she meets someone

Who can give all the love?

Which I was not able to give

When she drew her hand from mine

I felt some part of me go away with her

This was not I wished

But from the start

I knew someday we had to part

But didn’t know it would be this hard

As I came out of the station

Which now I had started to hate

As it had taken my love away

I saw couples walking arms in arms

I felt like running away

To a place where no one knows me

But then I remembered what she wanted

She wanted me to fall

In love once again
