The Ghost of your mind The mist clears and you see the wide road Staring at you like a barren land You think you are alone and no one is around But you still keep hearing that sound You don’t dare to look back Feeling of some one going to attack You let that sound stalk You let it lurk Now you are afraid of even a dog’s bark Your pace quickens but keep feeling it Coming after you closing on you every bit You say to yourself come on let’s face it But you don’t bring yourself in doing it It is true you are scared shit The lane’s light is not so bright Even the shadows give you a fright You try to smile but your mouth is shut tight The lips are dry due to the frostbite You think of your house, which is so far You wish that you had brought your car At least you will be saved from this horror That haunts you every day every hour On reaching home and going to bed You think of what has just happened You curse yourself of being a foolish dud But the voice in your mind Says, “See you tomorrow once again” The poem is an inspiration from “Fear of the dark” by “Iron Maiden” & “Night Prowler” by “ACDC”. |
